Open Source
Githelp was initially created out of the frustration felt by many Open Source projects. Doing support and assisting users can be time-consuming for both solo- and foundation level projects. With Githelp we are offering a way to streamline support and offload some of these expenses, by introducing payments to users and compensation to helpers. While still having the code open.

Offering help for free is a strong part of the OS culture. However, spending multiple hours a week without anything in return, can be challenging for both small and larger projects. Accepting payments in a simple integrated way can make it easier to justify spending more time on your users and make the project more sustainable long term.
